The Keio Gymnastics Varsity Team was established in 1902 and has the longest history as a varsity gymnastics team in Japan. Currently, both artistic gymnasts and trampoline players belong to the team, and in the same gymnasium, we teach, encourage, and cheer for each other, working towards our aim of achieving “The improvement of our physical status” and “cultivating one’s character”.
In the Mamushidani Gymnasium which was built in November 2009, there is an area exclusively for the use of the gymnastics team. Inside, there is an air-conditioning installation, a tumbling track, a vast pit zone, and a permanent standing equipment. We are practicing in a top-level training facility for a university gymnastics team.
